What did it cost?

As well as the upfront costs, there were quite a lot of extras that add to the overall cost of the project.  I had expected to spend a significant sum on tools and I was able to get a chunk of it back by selling on the items that I didn’t want to keep.  Somewhat less expected was the cost to get the car back for its post-build and the IVA and registration fees.

Ultimately, it is probably cheaper to get the factory to do the build for you. But the sense of ownership and pride that comes with doing the build yourself is priceless and for me, well worth it.
